Screen Protector Leak Hints Water-Drop Notch On The Huawei P30 Pro

A screen protector leak shows that the display of the upcoming Huawei P30 Pro will most likely feature notches, one of which is in water-drop shape.

Huawei fans are eagerly waiting for some new exciting features and smartphones like the new 20W Super Charge tech and the Nova 4 with hole-punch display and also Huawei sub-brand Honor’s View20.

Both the Huawei and Honor upcoming smartphones feature a very exciting design with in-screen front camera. But another upcoming smartphone, the Huawei P30 Pro, seems to be off the radar. It could be because it will most likely launch at a later date, but some aspects of its display have been becoming more apparent. Unlike the Nova 4 and View 20, it won’t come with an in-screen camera cut-out, but it will instead feature a more conventional notch display.

Several photos were recently leaked showing two glass screen protector designs for the mentioned Huawei P30 Pro. Both have a small cut-out accommodating a camera, one of which is in the water-drop shape, while the other is circular.

The screen protector of the upcoming Galaxy S10 and S10 were also leaked

Now, the notch on the upcoming flagship P30 Pro isn’t really a new idea at all. It has already around, along with a perfect explanation, which has to do with the manufacturers and OLED tech. Samsung is apparently the only phone maker that is capable of making in-screen cameras, and there is a possibility that Samsung will keep the first batch for themselves and the Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup. That would leave the Chinese manufacturer Huawei with LG and BOE as potential providers for OLED panels for its P30 Pro. Unfortunately, either of those vendors is actually producing the in-display selfie design.

Besides from just some tiny pieces of information about the P30 Pro’s display setup, the Huawei P30 Pro’s specs and other features are still unknown. The only notable information is upcoming IMX607 camera sensor of Sony is expected to feature in the Huawei P30 Pro.
