200,000 Units Of Redmi K20 Pro Sold During Its First Sale In China

The Redmi K20 Pro, which launched earlier in the month, has just gone on sale in the Chinese market for the first time. According to the Xiaomi’s sub-brand, 200,000 units of the Redmi K20 Pro has been sold out in 1 hour and 45 minutes. The phone hasn't made its way to India yet, but its launch date is expected to be 15 July which is slightly more than a month.

To recall, the Redmi K20 Pro is the first flagship from Redmi and come with a Snapdragon 855 SoC, triple rear cameras, on-screen fingerprint scanner, and pop-up selfie camera for a starting price of around Rs. 25,000.

The handset comes with a price tag of CNY 2,499 (around Rs. 25,000) for the base variant with 6GB RAM / 64GB storage. You can also buy the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage for CNY 2,599 (around Rs. 26,000). There are two more options with 8GB of RAM / 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM / 256GB of storage. They are priced at CNY 2,799 (around Rs. 28,000) and CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 30,000), respectively.

The phone is packed with a 6.39-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a 1,080 x 2,340 resolution and a layer of Gorilla Glass 6. Embedded under the display is a 7th-generation in-display fingerprint reader for biometric security. With the pop-up selfie camera, the phone also has an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 91.9 percent.

Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 855 SoC ticking at its core with an Adreno 640 GPU. The processor is paired with 6/8GB of RAM and 64/128/256GB of storage. Software-wise, it runs on Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 which is based on Android 9 Pie.

In the camera department, the phone comes with triple rear cameras, including a 48MP + 13 + 8MP sensors. Up front, it has a 20MP pop-up front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. Finally, it is stuffed with a 4,000 mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.
