What’s it? : A type of self-balancing scooter that comes from fictions and films. Although the idea of making such a board could be traced back to the last decades, the rise of the hoverboard actually took our mind by storm in 2015. Functioning like a skateboard, but hoverboards mostly work on the magnetic levitation principle.

Why it’s on this list: This fictional personal transportation looks classy and ultra-cool, but it’s totally unsafe. Some accidents have proved a fact that it often tends to burst into flames or explode, causing deadly threats to people.
Google Glass
What’s it? : Initially released in 2013, Google Glass is a product of Google X – a semi-secret R&D department under Alphabet Inc. These handy smart glasses allow people to control information like what they do on smartphones or desktops through voice commands.

Why it’s on this list: Not to mention the $1500 price tag, Google Glass has received a lot of criticism over its strict terms of service, safety considerations, and privacy concerns as well.
Facebook Phone
What’s it: Facebook phone, also known as HTC First, exactly was a type of operating system for mobile that developed by Facebook itself. First unveiled in 2013, this device was priced at $99 and the Facebook lord Mark Zuckerberg promoted it as a ‘great social device.’ Unfortunately, the price plunged 1000 times from $99 to 99 cents in just a short time period since its launch.

Why it's on this list: Too expensive, too ineffective, unremarkable features or hardware, and stiff competition with rivals.
