With the launch of Samsung Smarthings Smart Bulb, SmartThings Cam, and Wifi Smart Plug, Samsung has expanded its smart home lineup. For now, the devices have only been sold in the U.S. The three devices come with three different prices: $9.99 for the SmartThings Smart Bulb, $17.99 for the Wifi Smart Plug, and $89.99 for the SmartThings Cam. For those who are interested in these devices, you can access Samsung.com to get them or buy from US retailers like Best Buy.
The SmartThings Cam with HDR wide-angle lens offers FullHD resolution, with which you can monitor your home better. Also, you can see what is happening at home remotely by using the app SmartThings. Moreover, with its ‘advanced’ object detection, the camera is capable of differentiating between pet and human. In addition, the camera’s 145-degree wide-angle view and 2-way built-in audio make communication from smartphones easier.
Additionally, the Samsung SmartThings Cam, as well as the app, will let you control the SmartThings light bulbs. With free 24-hours cloud storage, you can connect to a maximum of four cameras at the same time. If you need more, you can spend $79.99 yearly or $7.99 monthly on the premium tier to connect with eight SmartThings Cams.
Another device in the SmartThings line is the SmartThings Wifi Smart Bulb. With this, the brightness can be controlled using your voice assistant. If users use it with the SmartThings app and the SmartThings Hub and, it is able to make personal automation like turning the lights on before going home or dimming them for movie time, according to the blog.
Last but not least, Samsung Wifi Smart Plug allows people to use voice control to monitor electronic devices like small appliances, lamps, etc. which is linked with the smart plug.
