PUBG Mobile or PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has released a new feature that aims at players below 18 in 08 countries including India. The new feature - ‘Gameplay Management’ - is not applied for those who are beyond 18.

Tencent has recently faced a lot of criticism in the Indian market and its latest move is expected to help the company to tackle partly the existing issues. In terms of PUBG Mobile, many Gujarat cities have banned this battle royale game. Also, some Indian authorities are reportedly asking for a ban on it. The company rapidly conducted the necessary actions to struggle with these ban demands, including “working on the introduction of a health gameplay system in India.”
In an interview with NDTV Gadgets, the General Manager of the Global Publishing Department at Tencent Games, Vincent Wang said,

How Does This New Feature Work?

The Gameplay Management system of PUBG Mobile will be applied for all players below 18. In addition, players in India are compulsory to agree with the gaming advisory to begin playing this game. According to reports from NDTV Gadgets, PUBGG Mobile will send pop-up notifications to manage the playing duration and alert players when to have a short break.
In March 2019, PUBG Mobile tested a feature called “Health Reminder”; however, “Gameplay Management” is completely different. According to many reports, with the Health Reminder feature, Indian players said that they couldn’t play the game more than six hours. Meanwhile, others were even locked when they played within the allowed time limit. The company said it would soon fix this issue.
