LG's Rollable TV Will Roll Downward From The Ceiling, Just Like A Projector Screen

According to LG, this year’s CES event will see its rollable TV introduced to the public. It is a little different than the design the company has been talking about in the last two years. It will not roll upward but rather downward, somewhat like a projector screen.

The idea of a rollable TV sounds like an intriguing prospect as it can save us lots of space in the living room. This new take on that same idea reduces the required space even further as it calls for no TV stand.

Another product LG wants to show off at this year’s CES event is the 48-inch OLED TV. The smallest panel we have now is 55 inches, still too big for small apartments and homes. The OLED TV will be on display alongside the company’s usual 88-inch, 77-inch, 65-inch, and 55-inch TVs.

So far, we have not heard anything about the launch date of the 48-inch OLED panel. LG Display is an important unit within LG and it provides OLED panels for other firms as well, including Panasonic and Sony. The company usually have their TVs showed off at each year’s CES event so we will not have to wait for long before we have more information on this small OLED TV.

Last year, during the same event, LG made a promise to sell its rollable TV the same year. However, it had failed to honor the word. The company has not said anything about a release date, so we may never see that day comes.

LG will also bring its designs of the screens for cars and planes, including a transparent OLED display measuring 55 inches, which can be an aisle partition, to the event.
