The aim of the competition is for students to recognize the significance of cyber safety, according to a statement from Google.

There are two different categories that students can choose from and put their skills as well as their creativity to test. The two categories are: Campaign and Project.

In “Campaign”, the contestants will need to develop and run their own campaign on Internet safety, either as an individual or a team member in a group of three.

The campaign can be one large project, or a collection of small projects such as awareness drives, a social media campaign, a video series or big project includes all of them. The contest requires no restriction on the number of projects or the format, as per Google.

The “Project” category is for participants who like to work as an individual. The competitor will be required to develop a website, a game, an app or a video which can encourage users to stay safe online.

The contest, Web Rangers, was first launched in 2015 in India with the participation of student ambassadors from over 15 countries.

Every year, Web Rangers receives incredible entries from multiple contestants. Google is confident that this year contest is going to be even more amazing.

Students who are from 10 to 17 years old can apply to join the contest. According to Google, the deadline for entry submission is on January 21 at 23:59pm. To submit entries or get to know more about the format as well as the rules of the contest, students can visit this website
