Hey Indian, Porn Sites Blocked? Pornhub’s Got A Way Out

A recent order to block 827 porn sites has panicked thousands of India men. As fast as possible, Pornhub said they're setting up a mirror link for the site.

After a serious gangrape involved four male students and one female victim, it seems that the government got the final warning. As a result, the Uttarakhand High Court issued an order in late September, requiring 857 website with pornographic content to be blocked.

MEITY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) found out 30 of them did not have pornographic contents. MEITY demanded telecom operators block the other 827 porn sites.

A few days ago, Indian government conducted a porn ban.

The action was ordered by the court due to a circular issued on July 31 2015 by the Department of Telecom, which was the first time Indian government took porn website seriously and attempted to ban them. However, that order was later edited to allow pornographic content except for child porn.

Anyway, the recent news from the High Court has got thousands of Indian men to cry out for help, and their cry was responded. In a Reddit post, Katie_Pornhub – the official ambassador of Pornhub – said the news was crazy. Porhub stated that they are making a mirror link for the site and it will be available soon.

We can all see that commenters are so over the moon about the announcement although there’s no certain the new link will help. If the DoT takes this banning action serious, it will not be a problem adding one more site to the list.
