Google Gives A Free-Service Week As An Apology For Youtube Interruption

To apologize for the Youtube service interruption last week, Google offer all Youtube Tv subscribers a free-service week, they only need to fill out a form.

Last Tuesday, we experienced an outage of Youtube services (including Youtube TV and Music) which lasted over an hour. Many of us might consider this incident sort of amusing and just a little frustrating, but those relying on Youtube’s service to watch TV live got in trouble.

In Google’s apology, last weekend, the company sent an email to Youtube TV subscribers offering them a free-service week. According to 9to5Google, subscribers could fill in a form whose link was included in the mail to use this offer.

The giant said that they were sorry for the unwanted interruption on Youtube TV on October 16, and they want to ensure subscribers’ access to shows and events, in anytime anywhere they want. And that Google would give a free week of service to make it up for the subscribers.

The due date for filling out the form is 11:59PM PT, Wednesday, October 24. You will not get this free-service week if you don’t complete the form in time.

It is pointed out by 9to5Google that to this time of the year, there have been three outages on Youtube TV. The last outage took place in July, shutting down right in the middle of World Cup 2018 when thousands of people were watching England and Croatia play. After that Google also gave a week of free service but it did not ask subscribers to fill any forms.
