Similar to the original feature of Snapchat, Facebook Stories has now hit more than 500 million users per day after it was first introduced 02 years ago.

Despite imitating Snapchat's Stories feature, Facebook has attracted much more active users than the prototype.

Facebook Stories bring a new way to share videos and photos on its platform. However, only 24 hours after its appearance, the social networking site rapidly removed it. The feature was said to imitate the Stories feature of Snapchat. Now, once again, Mark Zuckerberg has decided to add it to the company’s two other apps, WhatsApp and Instagram.

According to Sheryl Sandberg, the chief operating officer (COO) of Facebook, on April 24, at its earnings call, the company revealed that it was developing Stories base.

The present number of active users shows a big step compared to that in September 2018. At that moment, Facebook Stories reportedly attracted up to 300 million active users per day. One more notable thing, in spite of being stolen from Snapchat, the Stories feature has obviously got the twice as many active users as Snapchat’s prototype. As per the Snapchat feature, it reportedly obtained 190 million daily active users in the first quarter of 2019.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, WhatsApp, Facebook (with Messenger), and Instagram have collected at least 1.5 billion Stories users. Among those, each app has over 500 million users per day. All of these apps are Facebook's main products.

As per the CEO of Snapchat, Evan Spiegel roasted Facebook at the moment when the company revealed its plans to purchase Snapchat with only $3 billion in 2013 and then copy all original ideas of Snapchat. In May 2018, Spiegel said ironically, "We would really appreciate it if they copied our data protection practices also."
