Facebook Issues Will Take Years to Fix, says Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg

Facebook CEO Zuckerberg says that problems can never be fully resolved for some issues, such as electoral interference or harmful speech.

After a series of scandals about the misuse of the giant social media platform, Facebook is losing credibility with its investors, lawmakers, privacy advocates or even its loyalty users. It can't be denied that 2018 was a tumultuous year for the company, marked by large-scale problems such as the troubles with data theft, the allegations of harassment or the proliferation of fake news.

Recently, Facebook's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg talked about what transpired over the year in a post on his personal account, cited the chief executive officer on his personal Facebook pages:

Moreover, Mark further stated that some problems will take years to fix while several other issues such as harmful speech or election interference will probably never be solved root and branch.

Back in April 2018, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg faced off with the senator in a Marathon 5-hour hearing on the privacy scandal with regards to the "Cambridge Analytica data scandal".

Towards the more proactive end of solving their own problems effectively, Mark also claims that:

According to statistics, these scandals brought a sharp fall in the Facebook's stock, with share prices declining 24% in extended trading. Moreover, the company's S&P 500 also shed for 6.9% and shares close down 1% at $133.28.

In his post, the CEO also mentioned Facebook's AI which can help to remove 99 percent of the terrorist-related content. Zuckerberg said:

Reportedly, the tool is planned to be available soon.  In addition, Zuckerburg also said that they have given the go-ahead to start building a tool called "Clear History tool".
