At the launch of Realme X2 Pro, the so-called first flagship phone in India, the CEO Madhav Sheth was revealed and even teased about the upcoming wireless headset. The product was named Realme Buds Air, which seems to be some confusing similarities between these headphones and Apple's AirPods.
In terms of design, Realme Buds Air is an in-ear headset that is similar to Apple AirPods. As there is no use of silicon tips, the sound may leak and passive noise may not be removed. There are 12mm drivers inside the buds which according to Realme, can deliver excellent sound quality. At the base of the bud's stalk, we have a mic as well as charging pins. And because of the close mic to users' mouths, Realme Buds Air has better call quality as compared to wireless earbuds with no stalks.
Also according to the information on the homepage of Realme Buds Air, the earbuds has a feature of Google Assistant. Users can activate this assistant simply by tapping the buds' head, which offers touch controls. In addition to assistants, this sensor operation also supports playing music and making calls. Furthermore, from what is described in the buds' images, we can see a black sensor lying inside the buds. This is an optical sensor that helps detect whether the buds are in someone's ears.
In addition, the earbuds also support Bluetooth 5.0, and can immediately connect to users' phones through a feature called "Open Case to Connect". This feature is very popular among the fans of AirPods Pro as well as Samsung Galaxy Buds.
Expected to be released on December 17th, and officially launched before Christmas, Realme Buds Air is expected to be sold at a high price based on Realme's pricing strategy. Specifically, tech-savvies are predicting the price of the product are about INR 5,000. Realme is also offering an attractive promotion, an INR 400 coupon, for customers whose sign-ups are on the page 'Notify Me'. This promotion will also apply to customers who purchase Realme X2 Pro, Realme X, Realme 5 Pro, Realme XT and Realme X Master between December 9 and December 16.
