Microsoft Surface Earbuds Won't Arrive Until Mid-2020

Although the company initially intended to roll it out in late 2019, it has changed the shipping date to the next year.

Back in October, Microsoft held a hardware launch event with the announcement of its latest devices, including Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7, Surface Neo and the new flagship device Surface Pro X. What’s more, the tech giant first introduced a new earset called Surface Earbuds, which appears to be a rival to Apple AirPods. Although the company initially intended to roll it out in late 2019, it has changed the shipping date to the next year.

Instead of late 2019, Surface Earbuds is slated to go live all around the world in the mid-2020.

According to Microsoft Hardware Chief Panos Panay, the company expects to provide its fans and customers with the best possible experience as the Surface Earbuds is tasked with going live all around the world in the mid-2020. Talking about the release of it, Panay added that the company has been pursuing relentlessly every detail to get all of them right when making the product.

Surface Earbuds are stitched with a price tag of $249 - around Rs. 17,800.

Users can control it much more easily thanks to a couple of touch sensors and dual-directional mics on both the earbuds. With them, a bunch of gestures like tapping, swiping, or touching will be done properly in a matter of seconds.
