Amazon has now been one of the biggest video game retailers to run the largest live streaming service for video games thanks to Twitch.
But the company doesn't want to stop there, according to The Information, the tech giant aspires to offer a service similar to Netflix's products for gamers.
The advanced service allows gamers to play online games instead of buying and downloading individual games.
According to The Verge, even if no official announcement has been made, a series of work and activities are being prepared to build this service in the future.
Amazon is believed to be planning with game publishers about some promising games for its future service. It's still too early to say anything, and we can hopefully experience the streaming service before 2020.
The company has not made any official announcement on this kind of service while its representative gave no comments relating to the publishing.
There are a lot of pieces of evidence showing that Amazon is under the development of such a streaming service. As you can see in this saying:
Not so many technology companies like Amazon has a cloud computing infrastructure operating worldwide. It's named "Amazon Web Services" (or AWS) which is used to stream video games to attract a large number of gamers.
As per Sony, the company has built the infrastructure for PlayStation Now from its two acquired companies including Gaikai and OnLive while Microsoft is working on the cloud infrastructure of Azure to develop its Project xCloud, and Google has also established the infrastructure for the Project Stream, its game streaming service.
These services are expected to bring the cloud-streaming technology with high quality to the low-end technology, and hence, gamers will no longer have to buy pricey game consoles as they are now.
