Emergency Warning Issued For Apple's AirPods Max, The Problem Might Be Permanent

Apple’s AirPods Max has just been out but several users have taken to Reddit, Twitter, and Apple forums to report building-up condensation issues inside the ear cups after only a few hours of use. To make matter worse, the problem might stem from a permanent flaw in the design.

A user said his AirPods Max ran into condensation issues even when they had never been used in any environment with a high level of humidity. Water got inside the drivers and caused trouble with the ear detection function.

Another owner said on Reddit that after a walk of 40 minutes and a movie of 1h30, the water got inside and the ring got red.

Also on Reddit, a user said when the earmuffs were removed to be cleaned, he noticed the condensation inside.

Others shared that after prolonged usage, there was a large amount of condensation inside the cups that become visible when the ear cushions are detached.

One user explained that since aluminum has a poor insulator and the ear cups are made out of this material, heat usually built up inside and caused the condensation problem. If this is the cause of the problem, there is no other way to fix it.

Apple hasn’t officially acknowledged the problem and if users want to fix it, they will have to pay an additional amount of fee, on top of the very premium price they already paid to get the AirPods Max.

So with the current situation, the best move is to wait for Apple to comment something on this condensation issue and see if the iPhone maker can come up with any sound solution before rushing to buy them.

So if you still want to get something with the Apple brand, wait for the arrival of AirPods Pro 2 or AirPods Pro 3.
