Xiaomi Introduces Next-Gen QiCycle Electric Bicycle At Rs 31,771

Xiaomi is famous for its affordable products. So the company took everyone aback when introducing its most expensive product, the $3,000-bicycle Q1Cycle R1. Despite its high price, Q1Cycle R1 has achieved great success regarding sales and popularity. This bike has also helped Xiaomi become even more famous. Since then, the Q1Cycle brand has put on the market several other popular bike models, including electric ones. And this latest bike is the next-generation of the R1.

The new bike has the same design as the Q1Cycle foldable electric bike called EF1. However, this is an upgraded version, from appearance to performance. Compared to the previous generation, this bike has a bigger size. The 20-inch wheels allow the bike to be more stable and suitable for use on roads with complex terrain.

Regarding its appearance, this new bike of Xiaomi still has a simple design. Looking at the bike, someone who doesn’t know that it is an electric bike will probably think that it is just a normal bicycle.

Its battery is fully integrated into the frame. Riders can use the system on the bike to control the bike in three modes: from the pure pedal, to boost and electric.

In the center of the e-bike handlebar, a light-sensitive display shoes all the information like the battery percentage, alarm prompts, lights, battery power, speed, and gear. The display can sense the light, thus the brightness will automatically reduce when it is night time to not interfere with the rider’s view. The control area is on the handlebar’s left side. The control area houses the low and high gear switches, the horn buttons, and the power switch.

The rotary throttle switch is on the right side, which is the same for other electric bikes. There are three positions, when riders turn the switch inward, they will turn the mode for full-electric riding on.

The bike’s frame is made of 6061 aluminum alloy used in aviation. The manufacturer then uses the CNC to improve to polish the material to improve the appearance of the bike. Besides the built-in battery, all the cabled are hidden inside the bike’s body, making the book look really simple. Riders can adjust the seat high with the wrench screws. On the seat tube, there’s a printed scale to show the height.

The electric bike’s biggest highlight is that it uses a 5.2Ah lithium battery with a battery life of 40km. It can reach 25kmph. Moreover, the battery only takes 3 and a half hours to be fully charged. The charging port is at the back of the bike, just below the brake light.

In terms of safety, on the front wheels, caliper brakes are used, which is easier to install and disassemble. Regarding the overall braking performance, the braking distance is around 3 meters if the e-bike is going at around 20kmph. On the front of the bike is an LED light with high brightness and on the rear is a red warning light. Both automatically light up when applying the brakes.
