35 young women were caught cheating during their exams to teaching schools in Mexico with answers painted on their nails.
After the incident, the entire admission process had been under suspicion of fraud. It was later revealed that some students had paid 15,000 or 25,000 pesos for the answers. Although the claim was officially unproven, the astonishing test results have virtually confirmed it.
According to Mexican media, 50 applicants had 100 questions answered correctly while another 300 had 90 and 99 correct answers. Meanwhile, other municipalities recorded 71 correct answers as the highest score.
To deal with the suspicion, authorities decided to re-organize the test on August 21. And they were able to catch at least 35 participants. A Facebook page published a video to showcase the method that the 35 women had used to get through the exam and scored perfect scores.
Although the nails were painted in different colors, they all had the same dot motif. Each nail had 10 different colored dots corresponding to 100 answers in the exam booklet.
Interestingly, after being busted for cheating, the applicants weren’t barred from the exam. They were instead separated from other applicants and asked to put on gloves or use sticky tape to cover their hands.
