Starbucks Cooperates With Microsoft To Let Users Track Their Coffee Using Blockchain

Starbucks has partnered with Microsoft to track your beans from "farm to cup." Their new machine learning powered app will also offer tailor-made suggestions for food and drinks.

Everyone loves their cup of morning coffee, however, not many of them know where their coffee comes from. Starbucks has worked with Microsoft on a new plan which would allow users to know which farm that produces the coffee beans in your cup.

The new Starbucks feature will work on mobile devices. It allows customers to see the origin of Starbucks' product, the locations of their packed coffee and how farmers receive support from the company in those locations.

This is a way for Starbucks to demonstrate transparency in moral commitment to its supply of materials. Starbucks used Microsoft's Azure Blockchain Service for its new feature. This helps record and publish every state change.

There are currently 16 million Starbucks Rewards members who will receive suggestions for drinks and food in the app. These recommendations will be based on previous orders, community preferences, time of day, weather, popular selections, and inventory of the local store.

Besides, the famous coffee chain is aiming to develop this tech to drive-thru service.
