A weird but intriguing job listing of SpaceX has recently been discovered by Business Insider, a project coordinator of SpaceX Village, an unknown destination located right near Boca Chica, the company’s launch site for Starship rocket.
After the news broke out, the job listing was removed. However, before that, people have had enough time to gather some details about it, including rock climbing, volleyball tournaments, restaurants, bars, and kayaking.
So far, we do not know why Elon Musk wants to build a SpaceX village. It is possible that he plans to build a residential area for SpaceX employees, or he might envision a tourist attraction to create another stream of income for the project by using the launch site itself.
That is the fun part of the job listing, and now comes the dark part. The land required to build the SpaceX Village might come from the properties of pensioners living near the launch site. So whatever he intends to do, lots of people will have to suffer so that the village can be built.
SpaceX has already owned half of the neighborhood but the rest refuses to move and they have hired lawyers to secure their ownership of the land and fight back SpaceX.
A resident living in the area said that the job listing was shocking to her and Musk had appeared in a community meeting trying to convince residents to move out of the area.
She said that Musk stood around a meter from her, looked down at her and said that she would not want to live here as it would be inhospitable.
