Among many artificial intelligence projects, Samsung tried to catch up with the AI assistant trend by launching Bixby. But at that time, the South Korean giant failed miserably. However, it seems like this time Samsung is going to step up its game and revolutionize this AI trend.
At CES 2020, Samsung unveiled its artificial human developed by its STAR labs. Neon is an artificial being generated by a computer and it is not based on any specific face.
Here is everything Google announced at CES 2020.

Samsung has designed Neon to bring to real humans a happy and convenient life. The communication skills of Neon are comparable to those of real humans. It can collaborate for work, learn from its experience as well as having memories, just like a human being.
Each Neon will have their own personality and can express their emotions, show their own movements and dialogues. The virtual beings could understand international languages which include Hindi.
Samsung demonstrates what Neon can do at CES 2020. It can be a banker, a yoga instructor, a news anchor, and even a K-pop star. All of these are created using Core R3 using AI algorithms in order to create lifelike reality. Samsung has also developed Spectra which is still in its beta phase. Spectra will work with Core R3 to offer users immersive experiences.

Star Labs’ President and CEO said:

AI-powered models have been built by many companies to make deepfake videos but Star Labs states that its technology powering Neon and Core R3 have a different working mechanism compared to deepfake. Star Labs says that it doesn’t manipulate any videos, scenes, thus resulting in Neon having unique behaviors and interacting with users in real-time.
Star Labs also takes privacy concerns into consideration when building Core R3. It says that no one could access a user interaction with their Neon. Users’ private data will also be protected.
Star Labs’ initial plan is to introduce Neon on selected consumers and business partners. However, it remains unclear if Samsung intends to integrate this technology with its products including the smartphones in its Galaxy series. The company is organizing a special event called Neonworld 2020 to demonstrate how Neon works alongside Core R3 and Spectra.
The beta of Neon is scheduled for later this year. Artificial intelligence in India is becoming more and more popular, especially for young people. At the moment, there are more and more courses about this field being offered.
