What do you think if you are wandering on the street and suddenly see a porn video playing from a store? That is a true story on Queen Street, Auckland. On September 29, a pornographic video was uploaded on promotional screens, making both pedestrians and shoppers shocked.
The Asics Store’s employees confirmed this incident; however, they haven’t given any comment or explanation on how the vulgar content was displayed on the large screens at the entrance of the store. It seems that hackers played the video for more than two hours, but everyone didn’t notice it immediately.
A security officer named Dwayne Hinagano who was one of the witnesses said to the shop owner as follows:
Another witness of this incident also revealed that this video began to run from about 1:00 am.
Here is how the porn video has been posted on the promotional screen:
According to a female pedestrian named Lee, "I took a second look because I just couldn't believe what I was seeing."
She expressed her opinion that it is absolutely inappropriate and offensive. You don't want your kids see this and this is also embarrassing for the city when many tourists choose to get here.
Lee hoped that she, as well as other pedestrians, would get at least an apology, along with an investigation.
According to the Asics Shortland Store’s staff, the porn video was playing as they just arrived in the morning on September 29. One said:
