On October 15, a six-year-old boy in Minnesota went missing, which resulted in a widespread manhunt across the close by streets as well as the forest in the region. More than 600 people were mobilized to search for little Ethan Haus. Despite their great efforts, it was one little mechanical helper that helped find the boy.
Although the family received assistance from several law enforcement agencies as well as using a police helicopter, the missing boy could not be found. That was when Steve Fines, a local resident decided to step in with his heat-seeking drone.
Fines says that as a photographer, he needs the drone for his works. When he heard about the news of Ethan being lost, he knew he needed to offer his help.
According to the local sheriff, using his drone, Fines succeeded in finding the boy 10 hours after he disappeared. The boy, Ethan, was spotted lying with Remington-his dog, in a cornfield which is about 1.6 km away from his house.
Although the boy was cold, his overall condition was okay. After he was taken for a quick trip to the hospital, Ethan was fine. If it were not for the drone, whether the boy would have survived or not would be uncertain.
The authorities sent their thanks to the community for putting their efforts into finding the missing boy.
