Arvind Krishna

Arvind Krishna’s birthplace is Andhra Pradesh. In 1985, he got his degree from IIT Kanpur, majoring in Electrical Engineering. He later studied for his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois.
In 1990, he joined IBM. His journey was started by building a data-related business. Later on, he became the general manager of the development and manufacturing organization at IBM’s Systems and Technolgy Group. He has co-authored 15 patents as well as writing for journals like IEEE and ACM.
At the moment, he is the Senior Vice President who is in charge of IBM Research, IBM Security, IBM Cognitive, and IBM Cloud. The valuation of the enterprise is said to be $140 billion. In April, he will take over the position of Ginni Rometty as the next CEO of IBM.
Sundar Pichai

At the moment, Sundar Pichai is the CEO of Alphabet, which is the parent company of Google.
Pichai came from Madhurai, Tamil Nadu. He got his degree from IIT Kharagpur in metallurgical engineering. He completed his M.S. degree in material sciences and engineering at Stanford University. He also has an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Before he joined Google, Pichai worked in product management and engineering at Applied Materials. He also used to work as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.
In 2004, he got hired by Google where he led product management and took a critical role in creating the browser that is really familiar with everyone, Google Chrome. In 2013, he became in charge off Android and in 2015 Gooogle. In December 2019, he became Alphabet’s CEO.
Satya Nadella

The CEO of Microsoft was born in 1967. He was raised in Hyderabad. In 1988, he got his bachelor's degree in Engineering at the Manipal Institute of Technology. In 1990, he studied at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and got his M.S. degree in Computer Science. He also took part in an MBA course at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Before joining Microsoft in 1992, Nadella used to work at Sun Microsystems. His project at Microsoft was Windows NT, which became a failure. Over time, he has made some changes to Microsoft. The changes include moving the focus of the company to cloud computing. This was a smart move in saving the company.
Over the years, Nadella was promoted to become the Research and Development’s Senior Vice President for Online Services Division and Microsoft Business Division’s VP. Later, he was in charge of the company’s Server and Tools business.
In 2014, he became the CEO of Microsoft. At that time, Windows Phone was not doing very well on the market and the company was having a problem with its cloud computing business. He decided to allow Microsoft’s competitor Linux to operate on Azure. After that, the platform has experienced impressive growth. Today, besides Google, Microsoft is also a trillion-dollar company.
Shantanu Narayen

Many people might not know Shantanu Narayen, the CEO of Adobe. But he was the first-ever Indian-origin CEO in a tech company.
Narayen was born in Hyderabad. He got his bachelor's degree from the University College of Engineering Osmania University, majoring in electronics and communication engineering. He then went on to study for his MBA at UCLA Berkeley. He got his master's degree from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, majoring in computer science.
He started his journey at Apple. After that, he works at Silicon graphics as desktop collab products’ director. Then, he started his own company called Pictra Inc which allowed people to use the internet to share digital photos.
In 1998, he joined Adobe and became worldwide product research’s Senior Vice President. Later, he got promoted to become executive vice president. In 2007, when he was 45 years old, he became Adobe’s CEO.
In 2018, Adobe’s valuation has crossed $100 billion.
