Facebook is offering new meaningful job opportunities for veterans and supporting members of the military through the creation of a resource center. In partnership with an advisory organization SCORE and as a part of the venture, Facebook will launch a 12-month focusing on VR and AR career programs. Through the program, veterans already equipped with the necessary backgrounds relating to fields like mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, as well as computer science will get trained in AR and VR technology.

For Facebook, this program was created to help the company solve global problems. Indeed, many citizens, such as veterinarians, now own transferable skills servicing jobs in different career areas. Such initiatives will help participants develop deeper skills in the digital age, and beautify their resumes through working for Facebook, which can impact significantly to their lives thereafter.

For veterans in the Military and Veterans Hub, access to resources for job opportunities, digital mentoring and training, as well as business culture, is also possible. Currently, there are a number of Facebook tools that help members of the army as well as veterans. The resources hub also consolidates resources into a place and acts as a tool for US businesses that wish to hire veterans in the future. According to Frank Diaz, owner of Tin Hut BBQ and also a veteran, this will be significantly helpful to veterans and many businesses operating in the US.
