Electric vehicles (EVs) seem to be a great ideal for our environment. However, when they run out of battery and have to be charged for a long time, it is real trouble for users.

In future, EV drivers won't waste a lot of time charging their cars as now.

Recently, NBC News has posted an article about new refillable batteries called lithium-ion cells that can refill the electrolyte with freshly-charged liquid in place of charging EVs at charging stations when it gets depleted. It is known that scientists are developing liquid batteries for EVs that can be refuelled in just minutes, which makes EV supporters extremely excited.

Some supporters of the so-called "flow battery" technology also suggested that current filling stations are likely to be equipped to accept, dispense and charge electrolyte in place of gasoline.

When being interviewed by NBC, a researcher named John Cushman, who is researching the technology of liquid batteries, said:

Agreeing with Cushman, Lee Cronin, a chemist from the University of Glasgow in Scotland said flow batteries:

According to the experts, there have been many big technical problems to solve so far before launching flow batteries to the market. Strangely, another current issue is consumer momentum about the idea of an electric car which they can drive home and charge themselves.
