On Wednesday, several tech workers in an IT hub in Hyderabad were asked to vacate the offices after a company said one of their employees was infected with the Coronavirus.
The tech hub in question is Mindspace in Madhapur and the company with a positive-tested staff locates in Building 20 which has 14 stories. All of the techies were asked to work from home until further notice.
It is believed that the building would be cleansed and all of the employees must use the stair when they leave or enter, as well as avoid touching any object.
According to an HR executive working on the ninth floor of the tech hub, they were told that an employee of another company was tested positive for the Coronavirus so they must all evacuate the building. However, so far, we do not know if this is one of the reported cases or a whole new one.
As stated by the Telangana government, two test samples had been sent to NIV, Pune. One of the two persons did travel to Italy and the second might have contacted the first positive case.
These two samples are part of the 47 sent to Pune. So far, 45 have been tested negative for the Coronavirus. The first case in Hyderabad is a 24-year-old techie and he has been sent to Gandhi hospital. As far as we know, his state is now stable.
The tech park covers more than one hundred acres and consists of 21 buildings, each has at least 10 floors. However, techies in other buildings still work in their offices.
Once the news about a positive case broke out, panic spread like wildfire and many employees of the building were seen rushing out with face masks on or with hands covering their faces.
