Apocalypse Now? This River Turns Crimson Red With REAL Blood

A river in Israel has recently turned red and of all the possible causes, it is what most people fear the most - it was filled with real blood

A river in Israel has recently turned red and of all the possible causes, it is what most people fear the most - it was filled with real blood. One of the witnesses said the scene looked exactly like what the Bible described a plague.

The river in question is the Nahal Alexander in Israel and Kann News has made public a video showing the water in deep crimson color.

Another video shows another section of the Nahal Alexander turns bright red, just like what you might see in an apocalypse movie.

There is a reason why people are scared by this unique phenomenon. The Bible described the first plague to hit Egypt started with the Nile turning into a blood river.

The real reason behind this horrible sight is the reckless act of a slaughterhouse which dumped waste and animal blood into the Schechem Stream. However, the purification plant nearby often cleans the water before the water flows to the Alexander River. What disrupt this process is recent heavy rain, which makes the plant overflown with water, thus letting a large amount of contaminated water escape.

Another reason is the massive demand last month for chicken before the Ramadan festival, which lasts for a whole month, starts.

Apart from blood, locals also report seeing animal body parts, which concerns them greatly as the Nahal Alexander river is one of the country’s handful of freshwater streams.

The organization responsible for the environmental safety of the area is the Civilian Authority, governed by the country’s army. However, according to the Hefer Valley councilman Alon Hyman, restrictions relating to COVID-19 has limited the capabilities of the enforcement.

Horrible as it may seem, this is not the first time rivers were turned red as a result of human activities.

In April, a river in Russia went through the same problem, troubling locals and government officials. According to the country’s regional ecological ministry, the culprit is a local company, which dumped a mysterious red substance into the river.

After that the water flew straight to the river via drainage pipes. The company was later summoned to access the consequences of their violations.

Last month, a creek in Canada also turned red just like in a horror movie. In 2018, a river and a lake in Russia showed blood-red color.
