Bill Gates might appreciate Tesla cars, but his true love is Porsche!

Right after Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates bought himself a Porsche-branded electric vehicle, Elon Musk apparently doesn’t feel good at all as all the conversations between Gates and him finally led to nothing.

On Twitter, Musk made a reply to an account who raised the question regarding why Gates decided to opt for a Porsche Taycan instead of a Tesla when it comes to selecting an EV for himself.

Gates said in an interview that he already purchased a new Porsche Taycan that is an all-electric model manufactured by his longtime favorite car brand, Porsche. In the video recently posted on YouTube, the interviewer asked him about his opinion towards addressing climate change with environment-friendly products like electric vehicles, and also mentioned Tesla.

The world’s second-richest man responded that EVs would not be able to replace gasoline cars in the near future, but he expected the cost of such alternatives could decrease significantly while considering “one of the most hopeful” factors is passenger cars.

Talking about Tesla, Gates also confirmed the company’s reputation. However, the 64-year-old didn’t appear to express his thoughts that much and even revealed a new electric vehicle in his garage: It was Porsche Taycan, not Tesla Model S, Model X or the likes of them. Notably, this is his first all-electric car and Gates claimed it’s very enjoyable to drive.

At present, the Porsche Taycan Turbo and Tesla Turbo S are likely in the same market segment with the price tags of $150,000 and $185,000, respectively.
