It’s heartbreaking to see your expensive stock gone in front of your eyes and there’s nothing you can do. Especially when it’s wine and you can never get it back from the ground.

Such an incident happened at a winery in Spain where a massive wine tank broke open, spilling out 50,000 liters of red wine in front of the workers.

The winery in question is in Villamalea, Albacete, central Spain.

The massive amount of wine quickly ran out from one of the storage tanks at the winery while the workers couldn’t anything but watch in horror. Such an accident doesn’t happen every day.

The spilled wine was so much that it flooded the area surrounding the winery. The outdoor area of the winery quickly turned from gray pebbles into red. If you are a wine enthusiast, this scene will break your heart too.

The wine covered the area surrounding the winery in red

According to local reports, the reason behind this incident was the damage to a main metal storage tank.

The winery is called Botegas Vitivinos, which was established in 1969. Every year, it produces about 6 million kilograms of grapes, as reported by News.com.au. The resulting wine features an intense dark cherry color due to the grape varieties like tempranillo and bobal.

The video showing the wine spill went viral on Twitter. The scenery of the bloody red wine over a large area of the winery could be a perfect creepy scene for a horror film.
