AirPods Pro Vs. Its Rs. 9,400 Replicas: The Fakes Have Several Similarities To The Authentic

In this comparison, we test the real Apple’s AirPods Pro and a pair of i500 Pro TWS Earbuds with the price of Rs. 9,462.

In October, Apple released the AirPods Pro and other manufacturers have wasted no time creating replicas and knockoffs for users who cannot, or do not want to stretch their budget for Rs 24,900 for an authentic pair.

In this comparison, we test the real Apple’s AirPods Pro and a pair of i500 Pro TWS Earbuds with the price of Rs. 9,462. Except for the look that is the spitting image of the real ones, the manufacturer of the latter even claim that their product has some the features the H1 chip enable.

When it comes to the price, even when the fakes are only half of the real AirPods Pro, Rs. 9,462 is still too expensive for a pair of knockoffs. If you read this article in full, you will see why purchasing fakes are not recommended because the sound quality, function sets, and durability of these replicas can never compare to those of the real ones if their makers want to keep the price low.

Design-wise, Air i500 Pro TWS bears a striking resemblance to Apple’s AirPods Pro. The earbuds look exactly like the real ones with nearly no differences. The case also looks like that of Apple and it can even wirelessly charge itself and the earbuds inside. So in short, you will be hard-pressed to tell the two pairs apart if they are laid close to each other just by eyeing them.

There are discrepancies in the design but even you take a closer look, they are still hard to identify. The differences here are the way the lid works and the weight, as the Air i500 Pro is a bit lighter. However, they are not something a regular user will pay attention to.

If you visit its website, you will see that the manufacturer of the replicas make big claims of what their product can do, including Qualcomm chip, Apple’s H1 chip, Siri support, and many more. As we test the fakes, it seems like the maker of the i500 Pro TWS Earbuds has delivered what they promised.

To connect the replicas to an iPhone, the process is the same with that of the AirPods Pro. You open the case and then press and hold the button on the back. When a connection is established, the iPhone will display an indicator of the battery level. Another place to find this information is in the Today portion, just like what you can expect with a real pair of AirPods Pro.

Other similarities are wireless charging, Siri support, battery life, and when you take off one of the two earbuds music playback stops. And that is the extent of what you can get with the replicas.

The key feature of AirPods Pro, the active noise canceling, is absent on the fakes, you will not have squeeze gestures and force sensor either.

Since there is no noise cancellation, the Transparency mode is nowhere to found, but the seals on these earbuds are decent. As you may expect from a pair of replicas that ask for half the price of real AirPods Pro, the sound quality cannot be compared to a pair of AirPods or AirPods Pro.

Bass is too little and treble is too much. The crispness and clearness of sounds also trail behind those of AirPods Pro.

Overall, the Air i500 Pro TWS may have the look of the AirPods Pro but not the cool features that have made purchasing the real ones worthwhile.

This is why we do not suggest anyone should buy these knockoffs but they prove how far other companies can go to copy Apple’s iconic earbuds.
