Users Complain New iOS 13 Killing Battery; 70% Battery Drain In 2 Hours

iPhone users have gone on Twitter and complain that the latest iOS update has caused their phones to drain battery faster and get hotter.

The latest iOS 13 update continues to be a disaster, as many users complain that the new update causes their phones to drain the battery faster. Reports say that the iOS 13.1.3 update causes iPhones to run out of battery after a few hours of use, and also gets hotter when plugged in.

Apple has yet to comment officially. This issue seems to affect from iPhone 6 to iPhone 11 Pro Max, after updating to iOS 13.1.3. When the new update was released, it was a disaster as there were so many bugs. Users had to experience the error of lost contacts, deleted emails, drop calls. Even, Siri virtual assistant also had some issues.

A user shared on his Twitter page reporting that the iOS 13.1.3 update is killing the battery of the iPhone 7 Plus he is using. About 70% of batteries were used just after 2 hours of use. The phone is also slower and hotter than usual.

Another user said he used to get full-day usage on his phone, but with the 13.1.3 version installed, now it gets too hot and runs out of battery after 3 hours of use.

Apple had high expectations for this new update, but the first official version disappointed many users because there were too many bugs. Apple had to release a beta version of the iOS 13.1 a week earlier, to fix the bugs.

Later, Apple released the official version of iOS 13.1, which is claimed to deliver a better battery life. But the company immediately had to release iOS 13.1.1 and 13.1.2 to fix the issues. Not long after, the latest update, iOS 13.1.3 has arrived but it seems to make things even worse.

Here are users' complaints about the latest update:

In the meantime, Apple also just warned iPhone 5 users that they will lose online features (including iCloud, Apple Store, web browsing, and email) if they do not update to the iOS 10.3.4 before 12 a.m UTC on 3 November.
