Specifications & Design Of Foldable Galaxy W20 Revealed In TENAA

The foldable Galaxy W20 is expected to launch on 19 November and its design as well as specifications have now been revealed in a TENAA listing.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy W20 on 19 November in the Chinese market. The handset is said to feature a similar look to the premium Galaxy Fold. You can now see the design of the phone as it recently passed through TENAA with a handful of photos and specs. The photos reveal that the Galaxy W20 will come with similar design to the Galaxy Fold. Moreover, it will feature a hinge on its right spine, while the fingerprint reader, power button, and volume rocker are placed on the left side. When folded, it will have a tall design that is great for those who prefer one-handed usage.

Galaxy Fold

Sadly, photos on TENAA don’t show the Galaxy W20 when unfolded. However, you can still see that the back panel of the phone will feature a triple camera cluster with an LED flash below. Aside from that, it seems to come with an additional sensor, which is not available on the Galaxy Fold. The listing also shows that the W20 will flaunts a 4.6-inch display and pack a decent 4,135 mAh battery. Finally, it has the same dimensions as the Galaxy Fold, which are 160.9x117.9x6.9 mm.

The TENAA listing doesn’t give us the entire specifications of the phone, but it will likely ship with Samsung’s OneUI on top of Android 9.0 Pie. 5G connectivity support is also expected on the phone along with fast charging solution. When folded, the device’s display should have 7.3 inches in size and feature a notch on the top that accommodates a dual selfie camera setup. Powering the phone is said to be a Snapdragon 855 SoC, aided by up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage.

In terms of camera, there will likely be a triple camera cluster, including a 12MP main wide-angle shooter with DPAF, f/1.5-2.4 aperture, and OIS; a 16MP ultra-wide snapper with f/2.2 aperture, and a 12MP telephoto unit with OIS, PDAF, f/2.4 aperture, and also 2x optical zoom. On the front, the dual selfie camera setup comprises of a 10MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture. There is also a 10MP selfie camera above the secondary screen up front.
