Review about Redmi K20 Pro
The Redmi K20 Pro's highlight is contributed by two elements: beautiful design with pop-up selfie camera and the most powerful performance. Unlike last year's Pocophone F1 with a plastic finish, this year's Redmi K20 Pro features a luxurious glossy glass finish for both the front and rear panels.
And of course, the device's performance is a factor that we probably don't need to talk about when it has a powerful Snapdragon 855 SoC.
Recently, we have had the opportunity to experience the Redmi K20 Pro. The variant we had is the Glacier Blue version with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, currently priced at CNY2,999 (roughly Rs. 31,000) in China.
Additionally, the Redmi K20 Pro is available in different memory variants including 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB internal storage with the starting price of CNY2,499 (roughly Rs. 25,000). Now let's take a look at this smartphone.
As you can see, the Redmi K20 Pro is put in a basic box in only two colors, Black and Purple with the line of "Redmi K20 Pro" on the front.
Besides, there is also a “Demon King” symbol on the back of the box.
In addition, the box’s bottom side also includes the specifications of the phone.
Along with the device, there is a Xiaomi's quick charger, Type-C cable, and an additional plastic case in the box.
Now it’s time to talk about the Redmi K20 Pro. In terms of design, the device’s rear panel is covered by a glass finish, featuring "flame" motifs when viewed at different angles. This rear panel is curved to the sides, bringing a comfortable grip.
This back also includes the logo "Redmi" with the line "Designed by Xiaomi" delicately depicted.
Additionally, there is a triple camera module including a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor on the top of the back.
The Redmi K20 Pro sports a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. This display is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5 protective layer.
Besides, the brand equips the device with pretty slim edges and the top bezel of the phone only has a microphone and speaker
... while the bottom chin is still a little thick.
Of course, this display also features an optical fingerprint sensor.
And for the truly full-view display, the pop-up selfie camera is indispensable.
This selfie camera of Redmi K20 Pro has the same mechanism as the OnePlus 7 Pro. Recently, Xiaomi claims that this module can continuously pop-up up to 300,000 times.
The pop-up camera comes with 2 small LED lights that announce each time the camera opens, and it only takes 0.8 seconds to activate, according to Xiaomi. The camera app of the device will also support many different shooting modes.
While up top there are a 3.5mm headphone jack and a place to put the selfie camera,
At the bottom are dual SIM slot, USB Type-C port, microphone and speaker
On the right side are red volume and power buttons.
Meanwhile, the left side does not have any buttons.
As mentioned above, the device is equipped with the largest configuration today with Snapdragon 855 chipset, in addition to 6GB/8GB RAM, 4,000mAh battery, and 48MP+8MP+ 13MP camera setup. Currently, the handset has the starting price of only from CNY2,499 (roughly Rs. 25,000) for the lowest memory version.
