Realme X2 Pro Confirmed To Have Snapdragon 855+, 64MP Quad Cameras

Realme recently announced several official specs of its first flagship called Realme X2 Pro, which is expected to have a Snapdragon 855+ SoC and quad rear camera setup.

Realme has gained big success since entering the Indian market just more than one year ago on account of the cut-price budget and mid-range phones. However, this brand seems to change its strategy when preparing to launch a flagship, according to the recent confirmation of a Realme’s exec about the chipset and name of the phone.

Now Realme has given the official details of its first high-end phone called Realme X2 Pro. According to the company, the upcoming handset will be powered by a flagship Snapdragon 855+ SoC, which makes it a quite powerful handset in theory.

Unfortunately, there has been no information about the RAM and storage of the phone. However, it is expected that the phone will have 4GB - 8GB RAM as well as 64GB/128GB storage.

In terms of imaging capabilities, the handset will sport a quad-camera module on the back including a 64MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, a telephoto lens with 20X hybrid zoom, 115-degree view field ultra-wide-angle lens, and a depth sensor.

The details of the camera module have not been revealed but with such a high level of hybrid zoom, the phone needs to come with a telephoto sensor with high native zoom capability. For instance, OPPO Reno 10X Zoom Edition has the 10X hybrid zoom from a 6x periscope zoom lens while the P30 Pro features the 10X hybrid zoom from its 5X periscope zoom lens.

According to Realme, its upcoming flagship will come with the support for real-time bokeh effect for video recording, Nightscape 2.0 mode for capturing photos in the low light environment and an improved image stabilization algorithm.

The brand noted in a press release that it will launch the X2 Pro in the Spanish market “very soon”. However, it also noted that the release event will be held at the same time in Europe and Asia, suggesting the phone will also arrive in India and/or China.

Currently, the pricing of the X2 Pro remains unknown, but with these aforementioned features, it could belong to the same price range of Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro or also known as Redmi K20 Pro, which is currently priced at Rs. 24,999 in India. Anyway, we still need to wait for more information in the coming time.
