The next-gen OPPO 30W VOOC wireless fast charging technology is claimed to fully power a 4,000mAh battery in just 80 minutes.

Chinese phone maker OPPO has introduced next-gen 30W VOOC wireless quick charging tech at an event in the home country. This is considered the highest-ever wireless fast charging technology in the recent industry. It also ties with the 30W Mi Turbo wireless fast charging tech of Xiaomi. It is known that the latter debuted in China last week and is tipped to refill a big 4,000 mAh battery within only 69 minutes. Meanwhile, Oppo's 30W VOOC wireless quick charging tech is a bit slower but is still quicker than current wireless charging in the industry. Although the official release date remains unknown, Zhang revealed that OPPO’s wireless charging tech will arrive in its smartphone early. Meanwhile, Xiaomi already confirmed that its Mi 9 Pro 5G will become the first device to feature the 30W Mi Turbo wireless fast charging tech. The handset is set to debut on 24 Sep in the home market along with the MIUI 11 and Mi MIX 4. The device has received the certification from TENAA, so its release is not far away.

For further information, Xiaomi's 30W wireless charging technology comes with a wireless charging pad supporting fast charging speed. There is a nanocrystal receiver coil with five layers which offers 98 percent wired-to-wireless power conversion rate. The brand stated that it has been working on its true wireless charging that is expected to get rid of the need for a wireless charging pad or terminal.
