Live Images Reveals A Motorola Phone With Pop-up Selfie Sensor

The mysterious Motorola phone comes with an Android interface pre-installed and a pop-up selfie camera.

Motorola Latinoamerica fanpage has shared real-life photos of an unknown Motorola handset. According to the images, the phone could feature a dual-camera setup on the back and a rising selfie camera, which makes it the first phone from the brand to introduce the pop-up selfie camera. Additionally, the phone also has a fingerprint scanner on the back for biometric security. And the handset’s display is surrounded by thin bezels. The mysterious phone also has an illuminated ring surrounding the fingerprint scanner, which presumably functions as a notification light. The phone features a gradient finish and glossy rear panel with dark blue hues.

The device is allegedly named Moto Z4 Force and is obviously meant for the markets in Latin America, as per sources. But Motorola twitted after the launch of Moto Z4 that it would not be introducing any other smartphones in the Moto Z series this year. Therefore, it is unlikely to be the Moto Z4 Force. Since no 16-pin connector pins are found in the live images, the handset seems not to support Moto Mods which are a part of the Moto Z lineup. In addition, the text on the bottom bezel reads “Motorola Confidential Property Not For Sale,”, which suggests that the handset is probably an internal unit for testing or a prototype.

Similar to many Motorola smartphones, the device also runs Android OS and the interface of its camera app also looks like that of recent phones from the brand such as Motorola One Action and One Vision. Unfortunately, there has been no other information about this phone so far, including hardware specs. Therefore, we still need to wait for more information and to see if the company would bring the handset to the Indian market.
