The LG G8s ThinQ is finally official with a Snapdragon 855 SoC, triple rear cameras, and dual selfie camera setup.

LG has announced the LG G8s ThinQ as the latest addition to the LG G8 series. While its LG G8 ThinQ is currently limited to some markets only, the LG G8s ThinQ will make its way to Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. The brand also confirmed that the handset will be available for sale this month, but it hasn’t revealed its price yet

The handset sports a premium glass and metal build that is similar to its sibling LG G8 ThinQ. On the front, it features a 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED panel with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and a layer of Gorilla Glass 5. Powering the phone is the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For security, it supports Face unlock, Hand ID, and a fingerprint reader mounted at the back. With the Hand ID gestures, users can unlock the G8s ThinQ by hovering their palms over the display. The feature also allows users to turn the volume up/down with a rotation in the air or take screenshots/take a phone call by waving over the display.

In terms of camera, there is a triple camera setup on the rear. The setup includes a 12MP primary camera, a 13MP wide-angle camera with 137-degree field of view, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom support. Up front, it has an 8MP selfie camera and a ToF sensor. For software, it ships with Android 9 Pie and is fueled by a 3,550 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3. Its connectivity options are Wi-Fi, NFC, USB-C port, 4G LTE, and Bluetooth.

The phone also features IP68 water & dust resistance as well as MIL-STD 810G military compliance. It will come in three colour variants, Mirror Teal, Mirror White, and Mirror Black.
