A famous leaker from China recently revealed that Apple is asking suppliers to reserve components for the iPhone SE 2 in December. He also confirmed the iPhone SE 2 will use Apple A13 Bionic chip and will be released in about 3 months.

The above information is consistent with a previous report from Guo Mingyu - an analyst at Tianfeng International. He said that Apple will release the iPhone SE 2 in the first quarter of next year (expected in March). In addition, he thinks that the iPhone SE 2 will have the same overall design and hardware specs as the iPhone 8.

The configuration of the iPhone SE 2 is expected to use an Apple A13 chip, coupled with 3GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128 GB internal storage. It will be available in multiple colors such as Red, White, and Gray. Its price might start at $399 (roughly Rs. 28,600).

Guo Mingyu is also very optimistic about the upcoming iPhone SE 2. He expects it to reach sales of at least 20 million units by 2020.

Separately, the upcoming iPhone 12 series is tipped to carry changes in the display size. While the successor to the iPhone XR will likely have the same 6.1-inch display, the iPhone 12 Pro is tipped to carry a smaller 5.4-inch screen. Meanwhile, the iPhone 12 Pro Max will likely have the biggest display ever used on an iPhone with 6.7 inches in size. The iPhone 12 will still use an OLED panel, whereas the iPhone 12 Pro & Pro Max will be packed with a Samsung’s Y-OCTA display.
