We have had a list detailing the differences between iPhone XR and iPhone 11. So now let’s do a similar thing with iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.
iPhone 11 is iPhone XR’s successor. While the price of last year’s affordable model starts at Rs. 49,900, iPhone 11 will set you back Rs. 64,900, and iPhone 11 Pro will cost Rs. 99,900.
One of the most noticeable differences between the iPhone 11 Pro and its non-Pro version is the display. The latter sports a 1792×828 LCD “Liquid Retina” panel, which can translate to 326 pixels-per-inch. This figure is still lower than the 458 pixels-per-inch of the latter, but it is still a fantastic display.
While the overall appearance of iPhone 11 bears a striking resemblance to that of iPhone 11 Pro, users may notice slightly larger bezels because of the fact that one has an LCD panel while the other features an OLED.
The gap between last year’s iPhone XR and iPhone XS has been closed in 2019 with Apple’s removal of 3D Touch across all newly-released models of iPhone. Now, its main focus is Haptic Touch.
iPhone 11 features a dual-camera setup consisting of two 12MP wide and ultra-wide cameras. So the phone is capable of 2x optical zoom and Night Mode.
On the other side, the selfie camera has received an upgrade to 12MP, and now users can shoot 4K at 24 fps, 30 fps, or 60 fps videos with it. A feature that Apple talked about during its announcing event for the iPhone 11 lineup is the ability to record slo-mo at 120 fps and 1080p. The iPhone 11 also supports Dolby Atmos.
Under the hood, iPhone 11 is powered by a new third-generation Neural Engine and Apple’s A13 Bionic processor. The former enables some new camera capacities including Deep Fusion and an enhanced Smart HDR performance. The A13 processor is there to make sure that the device will receive updates from Apple for the next few years.
According to Apple, iPhone 11 is capable of 65 hours of audio playback, 10 hours of streaming video, and 17 hours of video playback. Users will have fast charging on this phone, but the 18W charger will come separately.
iPhone 11 Pro And iPhone 11 Pro Max
iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are successors of iPhone XS and XS Max from last year. The former model is measured 5.8 inches while the latter 6.5 inches.
Both phones feature an OLED display that promises deeper black and improved colors. iPhone 11 Pro’s display is 2436×1125 while that of iPhone Pro Max is 2688×1242; however, these figures both translate to 458 pixels-per-inch.
According to Apple, The Pro lineup sports Super Retina XDR that offers a wider dynamic range. The iPhone 11 Pro also features 800 nits max brightness for and 1200 nits max brightness display. iPhone 11 only has 625 nits max brightness.
iPhone 11 Pro has matte black glass, and the edges are made of stainless steel, not aluminum like its non-Pro version.
The biggest difference between the two models is arguably the cameras. Both models have an ultra-wide lens, which users can access via the 0.5x button in the camera app, Deep Fusion feature, and an upgraded front camera.
The A13 Bionic chip is on both models, and they also have improved battery life. iPhone 11 Pro can now operate for four hours longer than the iPhone XS, that translates to 65 hours of audio playback, 18 hours of video playback, and 11 hours of streaming.
In comparison with the iPhone XS Max, iPhone Pro Max’s battery life is now prolonged by five hours, meaning you have 8 hours of audio playback, 20 hours of video playback, and 12 hours of video streaming.
802.11ax WiFi, Gigabit-class LTE, and WiFi 6 are on both iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.
iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max can be acquired in silver, midnight green, gold, and space gray. They are both capable of fast charging and are the first of Apple’s phones to come included with the 18W charger and Lightning to USB-C cable.
iPhone 11 Vs. iPhone 11 Pro: Which Should You Buy?
For many users, the iPhone 11 is enough for their daily use. While some features like the triple-camera setup are absent from the phone, you still have the powerful A13 Bionic processor, Smart HDR, and Portrait mode.
The price drop makes the iPhone 11 an even sweeter deal than last year’s iPhone XR. At the price of Rs. 64,900, it is way more affordable than the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max.
However, the higher price tag of these Pro phones also means users have access to more advanced features; some of them are a more premium look, an enhanced display, and a triple-camera setup. It is totally up to users to decide if these functions are worth the extra money, but for many, iPhone 11 is just enough.
If you are after the largest storage and the biggest display, no matter how much it costs, iPhone 11 Pro Max is right up your alley. However, if you can settle with a smaller screen, iPhone 11 Pro fits the bill. For those who want several colors to choose from, iPhone 11 is just the model you want. In the last article, we have had an initial conclusion that some people might find iPhone XR is a better deal than this year's iPhone 11, so you might want to pick it up instead, especially with a slash in price in the Indian market.
