Huawei Announces Android Q-Based EMUI 10 Interface

Huawei's newly-announced EMUI 10 interface will be based on Android Q and offers a system-wide dark mode expected to be able to extend to third-party apps.

Along with the HongMeng OS, Huawei also introduced its tenth version of the EMUI interface. This new software is based on the Android Q as well as offers a newly redesigned interface, snapper performance, system-wide dark mode, and other new features.
In terms of design, EMUI 10 interface will offer new animations and more rounded icons. Additionally, the new dark mode is expected to be applied in the third-party applications as well, which will be favored by those who like darker menus. Furthermore, there are additional Always on Display options as well as more calendar and clock styles.
Regarding the performance, the new interface is expected to be more responsive due to GPU Turbo 3.0 and upgraded EROFS, which promises quicker interactions, less latency when switching through the applications,
In addition, the Chinese phone maker also showcased a new type of linking PCs with smartphones dubbed Multi-screen collaboration. Accordingly, users can pair the two wirelessly and directly mirror their phones on the PC screen. Then they will be able to access every file of their phones as well as transfer files or respond to the messages with no interruptions.
Additionally, the company's Hi Care application will assist users in pairing their phones to work on the infotainment system of their cars as well as control navigation, music and other functions such as AC in the supported vehicles.
It is known that the first smartphone to debut with the new interface will be the flagship Mate 30 series while the users of P30 are expected to have this new firmware from 8 September. In addition, Huawei has promised that EMUI 10 will be seeded to its Mate 20 series in the same month as well. And Android Q-based Magic UI 3.0 will begin rolling out to Honor Magic 2, Honor V20, Honor 20 Pro, and Honor 20 in the month.
