Honor 9X Latest Teaser video Reveals July 23 Launch Date

Earlier in the week, Honor’s Vice President George Zhao uploaded several teaser photos of the packaging of the upcoming Honor 9X next to several tangible items, which revealed several aspects of the forthcoming Honor X smartphone.

A teaser video has recently surfaced online giving us the first glimpse of the Honor 9X’s design. At the end of that video, the launch date of the Honor 9X is revealed to be 23 July along with the side of the retail packaging of the Honor 9X.

However, the teaser doesn’t really show us a lot about the Honor 9X aside from its launch date. It is known that the brand usually launches its devices in the Chinese market months before bringing them to global markets like India and Europe. We expect the handset to be priced around Rs.15,000 mark just like its predecessor Honor 8X.

The handset will most likely pack a Kirin 810 SoC that was announced recently, a better camera setup, and possibly a larger 4,000mAh battery. In addition, the GPU Turbo 3.0 would also debut on the new Kirin 810 processor, so you can expect the handset to get a better gaming performance on this phone.

Considering the intense competition in the entry-level segment from the likes of Redmi Note 7 Pro and Realme X, we have a lot of expectations on the upcoming Honor X smartphones. The series is also said to include another version called Honor 9X Pro with a triple camera system and a pop-up front-facing camera. Based on the packaging that was previously leaked, we might also see gradient colour variants. We are also waiting to see whether the brand will finally switch from micro-USB to USB-C port on this series or not.

In around one week, we will know more about the phone when it is officially announced in China.
