HMD Global Set To Launch New Entry-Level Nokia Phones In August, At Only Rs 999

On Wednesday, HMD Global launched the Nokia 220 4G as well as the new Nokia 105, with support for 2G and 4G connectivity to users around the world.

On Wednesday, HMD Global launched the Nokia 220 4G as well as the new Nokia 105. The phone maker has given support for 2G and 4G connectivity to users around the world.
With the 220 4G, users can enjoy HD voice calls via 4G LTE networks and they will also be able to use the Internet with a web browser. In addition, the phones both feature durable, polycarbonate bodies, according to HMD Global’s statement in a release.
Chief product officer at HMD Global, Juho Sarvikas said in the release that:
With a long-lasting battery whose standby time may reach 27 days, you can also use the 220 4G as a portable radio, the company added. The 105’s battery can last several days and houses an FM radio too.
The 220 4G will go on sale mid-August with two color variants black and blue. The starting price is Rs 2,999. Meanwhile, the 105 will be available sometime in August with three colors black, pink, and blue. Its starting price is Rs 999.
In separate news, HMD Global is set to launch the Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 in August, at least one of which will come to the Indian market, with the 6.2 priced at Rs 12,000.
