Social networks like Facebook and YouTube are now parts of our daily lives, but they can have advert impacts if we aren't careful, as we've all seen.

The influence of social networks

Facebook, YouTube, Google or Instagram are great social networking sites. Many people around the world use these social platforms. Traffic, weather and social information or news, events are regularly updated on social media. The appearance of these websites is extremely important in everyone's life.

However, being unable to control the content posted on social media is extremely dangerous. The 17-minute fire that was lived stream on Facebook was a red flag. This situation has been going on for a long time and has not been resolved. Social organizations and social network users have strongly condemned this problem. If there is no social network, life will be very boring. However, we need to supervise social networks more effectively.

YouTube’s policy

To limit this problem, technology companies need effective solutions. Last month, YouTube issued a policy to ban the live broadcast of minors without an adult's supervision. At the same time, YouTube also limits the posting of videos that are violent and horror.

According to a blog post from the company, it will ban live streams broadcast by minors if they don't have an adult accompanying. The social giant will use machine learning for monitoring certain kinds of content that violate this policy. In addition, YouTube has added videos featuring minors in risky situations to its list of limiting borderline content.

In early March 2019, YouTube was fiercely criticized by parents and the media for letting predatory/disturbing/harmful comments and recommendations surfacing around videos on YouTube Kids. The company responded by turning off comments for certain videos.

Besides current attempts, the video-sharing platform is also working to develop a more effective classifier which will remove every predatory comment on videos at 2x the speed.
