WhatsApp is one of the most widely used communication apps with the most downloads in 2019. For its popularity, there are more people wanting to try unofficial versions of this app, and GBWhatsApp is one of them.
Customized versions of applications often have features that the official ones don’t have or allow so a lot of users like them and they have become very popular.
As reported by GizChina, in Africa, people even use unofficial versions more than the official one, such as ‘YoWhatsapp’ and ‘FMWhatsApp.’ This popularity is due to a certain reason. Using these versions, users can send files in large size or use many accounts at the same time, among other capabilities.
What has WhatsApp done to stop this?
The messaging platform has warned users against using unofficial apps. Besides, the company has even banned users who are on unofficial versions as a punishment, but those measures don't seem to work as people still turn to those unofficial apps.
WhatsApp Dark Mode is finally here
The company has finally added the dark mode feature to Android and iOS devices. After months of waiting, users can now update and use the official new version of WhatsApp with the dark mode. The new feature focuses on helping improve text-reading and make eyes feel less tired.
