Uber To Work With Bajaj, Launching Affordable Service In Bengaluru

Uber announced that its partnership with Bajaj Auto to introduce Bajaj Qute to its new UberXS category to offer travelers affordable commuting options in Bengaluru.

On June 13, the popular ride-sharing platform Uber announced that it has worked with Bajaj Auto to introduce Bajaj Qute to its new UberXS category which offers travelers affordable commuting option in Bengaluru.

Bajaj Qute is a quadricycle which can carry up to three passengers plus a driver. Compared to a passenger car, the four-wheeled motor vehicle is lighter and smaller. There are two fuel options available: Petrol and CNG.

Starting from Thursday, Bengaluru will be the first region offered Baja Qute (the CNG version) by the India South Asia region UberXS category.

Nandini Maheshwari, Uber India and South Asia’s Head of Business Development, has said that the company is putting efforts in transforming the city’s mobility landscape by with Uber’s technological solutions.

According to Maheshwari, customers’ demand, as well as other factors, will decide the charges of UberXS, which will fall somewhere in between UberGo and auto offering.

The quadricycles will offer a mileage of 43 km/kg. Moreover, it will help urban commuting become more affordable and environmentally friendly.
