The Coolest Gadgets Announced At IFA 2019

The IFA in Berlin has long been an event to update the latest changes in the tech world, from smartphones, TVs, to intelligent stoves

The IFA in Berlin has long been an event to update the latest changes in the tech world, from smartphones, TVs, to intelligent stoves.

While many people’s interest has been redirected toward the Tuesday’s Apple event, this year IFA does have some interesting inventions worth our attention, besides the revamped Galaxy Fold.

Samsung Galaxy Fold

The Galaxy Fold is ready

This is not exactly a new device as it was scheduled to be out in April. However, since the previous device is so easy to be broken, Samsung has delayed the releasing time so that it can fix what went wrong.

IFA was the first-ever event where Samsung allows a larger number of audience to touch and experience the device. We also have another launch date, 18th of September in Europe and the U.S in the following weeks.

For now, no one can be sure if the Galaxy Fold will herald a new era of smartphones or not. But despite the uncertainty of durability and the high price tag, it is still one of the most awaited devices of the year.

LG G8X ThinQ

LG launched the LG G8X ThinQ with a 4,000mAh battery, a laudable attempt to add more benefits to its users

LG smartphones may not be as well-known as other gadgets of the company, but in reality, the company’s devices are quite competent, except for the not-so-durable battery. However, this year IFA, LG launched the LG G8X ThinQ with a 4,000mAh battery, a laudable attempt to add more benefits to its users.

The phone’s secondary display might not be useful to lots of people, but the good thing is, it is detachable.

Another phone featured on this list is the Motorola One Zoom with a quad-camera arrangement on the rear. The specs are far from being top-notch, but with the price tag, you cannot complain.

LG OLED 8K

LG OLED 8K is not new, it is actually a few months old as it was announced back in January. However, it was until this year’s IFA that users could finally purchase the TV.

LG brought the device to the event to remind potential buyers of what it can do, including offering a stunning dynamic range, crispy images, and 8K content.

Huawei FreeBuds 3

The FreeBuds 3 from Huawei is definitely an AirPods’ knock-off, as the two share some striking resemblances, including the Kirin A1 chip.

However, the earbuds from Huawei have a ton of new tech, like the active noise canceling feature, making them a step ahead of most competitors, including the AirPods.

Garmin Venu

Venu is still essentially a sports watch, but it leans toward supporting lifestyle

Garmin seems to have a few big announcements this year. Days before the IFA, the company released the Garmin Fenix 6, its flagship sports watch’s new series. And at the event, a new device called the Venu was launched.

Venu is still essentially a sports watch, but it leans toward supporting lifestyle. Some of the most noticeable features are a 5-day-battery and an AMOLED display.

Sony's 40th Anniversary Walkman

The NW-A100TPS Walkman launched to celebrate Sony Walkman’s 40th anniversary sounds more like a gimmick than something you can actually use day to day. However, no one actually expects the company to introduce a real cassette player in 2019.

So gimmicks aside, what you have is 26-hour battery life, wireless music streaming support, and 16GB of storage.

Adidas RPT-01

Adidas making headphones is something no one can think of. But actually, it is Zound that produces the device. This company is known for its partnership with brands like Marshall.

For the performance and design, the cans look quite cool. The rubber parts and knitted ear cups can be taken out anytime to wash. The sounds are decent too.
