Samsung Recommends You To Scan Your QLED TVs For Viruses

Living in the Internet era brings us not only convenience but also a load of threats. It’s safe to say that most of the threats we have to face come from viruses and hacking activities. Every device that you use for connecting to the Internet is undoubtedly able to be under attack, even a smart TV. Recently, the Korean electronics giant Samsung has warned about the issue to those who are owning a Samsung QLED TV.

On Sunday, the Twitter support account of Samsung US posted a video to outline how its users can scan viruses from their smart TVs. If you have a Samsung QLED TV and want to enhance your device’s security, then take a scan to make sure about that. First, head to “Settings” and choose the “General”. Once there, find the “System Manager” then scroll down to the “Smart Security” tab and tap on “Scan”. The process will start making the inbuilt antivirus software perform its viruses scanning for your smart television.

However, the company has removed the tweet in the following day. It's still unclear about why.

Most of the large-size TVs (40-inch and above) made by Samsung are “smart TV”, which provide Wi-Fi connectivity. Thanks to the integration, smart TVs let you be able to enjoy several services on the Internet without any third-party devices such as Apple TV or Chromecast.
