Chinese smartphone company OnePlus is planning to enter the TV sector. Last year, OnePlus announced that it's planning to launch a TV and now the wait is over, we'll see a TV from this company very soon. Now the Chinese tech firm is ready to release its first television in coming months; however, it hasn't revealed any further details.

OnePlus will launch TV in the high-end segment and offers a complete connected experience to viewers. This entry would create more competition in the TV market and especially for Xiaomi's Mi TV. Mi TV is gaining popularity in India and China, coming with Android operating systems and available at affordable prices.

Referring to a person who is familiar with the development of OnePlus TV, tipster Ishan Agrawal claimed through a tweet that people will see TV made by this company very soon. But, Agarwal didn't mention anything else in the tweet regarding its launch date. Also, he didn't reveal whether the company will launch the product only in India or globally.

On the other hand, OnePlus said that it's natural to narrow the gaps in the TV industry, which the company addressed in the smartphone market. To do that, it needs to balance the high-quality hardware with the newest tech, craft hardware with timeliness and minimalistic in design, as well as develop a seamless experience for users.

In the last September, Pete Lau announced the development of OnePlus TV. He said that the TV will come with total connected experience and debut as a premium flagship TV. For now, any other details regarding its price and its features are not revealed yet but for sure, it won't fall under affordable price segments

OnePlus also took registrations from its community for the suggestions for the official name of its first TV, last year. Now it is named as OnePlus TV. OnePlus also made a dedicated team for TV which would work under the supervision of Stephen L. however, the official launch of TV is still pending.
