Now You Can Post Up To Six Photos On One Stories In Instagram

Instagram has just upgraded its Stories feature again. This time, what it adds is the ability to post several pictures on one screen. It is called Layout and for now, you can have up to six photos.

The feature sounds simple enough but given a large number of popular apps offering the same trick, Layout is expected to be warmly welcomed by users. Before this global rollout, the only possible way to have the same effect without downloading a third-party app is to paste the picture to a text box.

This change shows how powerful Instagram can be in harnessing users of other smaller companies. With this native feature, users no longer need to open another app to pull the trick, stripping away the only reason for users to use these third-party apps. This is similar to the way Boomerang rendered other apps offering the same function useless.

Instagram is adding new features for Stories, with the highlight is the Create mode, which allows users to make more content beyond videos and pictures. Some of them are templates with prompts for conversation, throwback posts, typing mode, and other choices.

Layout is the latest addition to a series of new features the platform brings to Stories. Since October, users can transfer their Stories to Facebook dating profile. Reels, clips filled with music, is also being tested. The Explore tab now also has Stories and the Create mode bears a striking resemblance to Snapchat.

The Create mode was launched in October but it has already stuffed with features. Given the fact that the company is still adding new functions, users will have way too many choices.
