Facebook Adds A Load Of Tools For Content Creators And Publishers

Apparently, Facebook has to put more effort into the video segment to challenge its largest rival in the video-sharing industry, YouTube.

A number of new updates for video creators and publishers have been revealed by Facebook at the IBC 2019, which took place in Amsterdam earlier this week.

As reported by TechCrunch, Facebook has made changes along with created brand-new features, for example, the Creator Studio, Facebook Watch Party, and live-video broadcasting. Furthermore, the company has also added more tools with enhanced analytics. In addition, you can schedule content from Instagram and IGTV for a maximum of six months beforehand, according to the report.

Facebook Live

The popular service, Live, now comes with a bunch of improved features.

Rehearsals: Publishers can broadcast a Live video to admins and editors of their Pages before sharing it largely to audiences.

Trimming: Publishers can customize their Live video replays by cutting off beginning or end parts of them with the help of Trimming.

Live Video Limit: The maximum duration now extend to 8 hours, instead of 4 hours in the past. Also, people using Facebook Lite now can experience Live videos.

Simultaneous Broadcast: Through the Live API, publishers can broadcast to several online streaming services simultaneously.

Watch Party

Pages now can create anticipation by scheduling a party in advance, while people can watch the live video after it ended, thanks to “Replays”. Apart from that, page admins can choose to tag business partners to check analytics from posts.

Creator Studio

Creator Studio has been helping publishers to have a deeper look at their content and performance from either Facebook or Instagram, and now it is coming with more dedicated additions.

Loyalty Insights will notify publishers and creators about any video types that drive return viewers.

The new Distribution metric will show the performance of every video: Retention, 1 Minute Views, and Average Minutes Watched.

Auto-captioning is now supported to 13 additional languages, which thankfully include Hindi.
